  30. When distributing the WWW package in compressed form, please use
  31. the file name "WWW200" with an extension appropriate to the compres-
  32. sion method (ZIP, PAK, ARC, LZH, etc.).  For example, when compressing
  33. the program using PKZIP, use the file name "WWW200.ZIP".  This will
  34. help users locate the most current version of the program. If necessary
  35. (i.e., on CompuServe), the name may be shortened to "WWW".

  127. Individuals, Computer Clubs and User Groups who wish to distribute
  128. the WWW package to friends or associates may do so in accordance with 
  129. the restrictions outlined in this documentation.

  134. As the exclusive copyright holder for WWW, Basic Systems, Inc. 
  135. authorizes distribution only in accordance with the following restrictions.

  138. * ASP Approved Vendors in good standing are hereby given permission to      
  139. * distribute the WWW package.  Non-ASP member vendors must request prior
  140. * permission before distributing the WWW package.

  142. * Basic Systems, Inc. also hereby grants permission to distribute the
  143. * WWW package to Individuals, User Groups, Computer Clubs and BBS's 
  144. * as long as distribution is in accordance with the following restrictions.

  147. The WWW package is defined as containing all the material listed in 
  148. the PACKING.LST text file.  If any files listed in the PACKING.LST text 
  149. file, or the PACKING.LST file itself, are missing, then the package is 
  150. not complete and distribution is forbidden.  Please contact us to obtain 
  151. a complete package suitable for distribution.

  153. The WWW package - including all related program files and documentation
  154. files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must be distributed as a complete
  155. package, with the only exception explained in the next paragraph.  The
  156. PACKING.LST text file contains a list of all files that are part of
  157. the WWW package.

  159. There is one exception to the above paragraph.  Many BBS's customarily 
  160. add a small text file (advertisement) to each archived file.  This text 
  161. file describes the BBS and tells people that the file was downloaded from 
  162. that particular BBS.  Other BBSs add a  small one-line message with 
  163. their BBS name and phone number into the compressed file, which will 
  164. display when the file is uncompressed.  Either of these methods of
  165. mentioning your BBS are acceptable and may be used, provided the program
  166. and documentation is otherwise unmodified and complete.

  168. No price or other compensation may be charged for the WWW package.
  169. A distribution fee may be charged for the cost of the diskette, shipping
  170. and handling, as long as the total (per disk) does not exceed
  171. US $8.00 (U.S / Canada) or 12.00 (International).

  174. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  177. The WWW package CANNOT be sold as part of some other inclusive package.  
  178. Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging offer, without
  179. a written agreement from Basic Systems, Inc.

  181. ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the WWW package as part
  182. of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) may do 
  183. so provided that all the other restrictions are met.
  184.  
  185. Vendors (non-ASP Vendor Members) who wish to distribute the WWW
  186. package as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM 
  187. package) must obtain permission from Basic Systems, Inc. prior 
  188. to beginning such a distribution.
  189.  
  190. If you wish to add any of our programs to a CD-ROM or other collection,
  191. please check the release date of the version you have.  If the version
  192. is over six (6) months old then please contact us to ensure that you
  193. have the most current version.  This version was released in December 1993.

  196. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:

  199. If you would like to distribute the WWW package as a Disk-of-the-Month,
  200. or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the following 
  201. restrictions apply:

  203. ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby given
  204. permission to distribute the WWW package under the Disk-of-the-Month
  205. style of distribution.
  206.  
  207. Others (non-ASP Members) must contact us in advance to ensure that you
  208. have the most current version of the software.
  209.  
  210. You cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month distribution to use up your inventory
  211. of old (out of date) disks.  Only current versions may be shipped as
  212. Disk-of-the-Month disks.
  213.  
  214. The WWW package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others.
  215.  
  216. You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, or
  217. other literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".
  218. Shareware is "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free.
  219.  
  220. Basic Systems, Inc. prohibits the distribution of outdated
  221. versions of the WWW package, without written permission from 
  222. Basic Systems, Inc.  If the version you have is over six (6) months old,
  223. please contact us to ensure that you have the most current version. 
  224. This version was released in December 1993.
  225.  
  226. Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  227. disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed
  228. program except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use
  229. shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  231. U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the
  232. U.S. Government of the computer software and documentation in this
  233. package shall be subject to the restricted rights applicable to
  234. commercial computer software as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of
  235. the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  236. 252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The Contractor/manufacturer is
